Tan Hui Ru is a skilled multidisciplinary artist with a focus on painting and installation art. A graduate of LASALLE College of the Arts with a Diploma in Fine Arts (2021), she has quickly established herself in the Singaporean art community.

Her work explores themes of self-perception and introspection, using painting and photography as mediums for self-discovery. Hui Ru delves into the emotional and psychological facets of identity, producing art that reflects the complexities of self-reflection. Known for her oil paintings, illustrations, and mixed media ventures, Hui Ru's relentless pursuit of artistic expression has made her an influential figure in the art world.

In 2021, she participated in "Unconsumed," a group exhibition for HEARTH by Art Outreach Singapore. She has also gained experience as a gallery assistant with Art Outreach Singapore and Mizuma Gallery Singapore.

As an independent muralist, Hui Ru has completed over 50 murals, captivating diverse audiences across Singapore. Her proficiency with scissor lifts allows her to undertake ambitious projects at heights. This capability was showcased in projects such as the i12 Katong Mural (2022) and the Artwalk Festival at Little India (2023), where she served as one of the lead artists, demonstrating her dedication to her craft.
